A king of comfort food, our apple pie graces is made with a sweet, crumbly, shortcrust base and a lattice top. We’re firmly in the ‘cook-your-apples-before-baking’ camp, but make sure they retain their shape and texture so there’s a crunch with each bite.

Not much beats serving it a la mode with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but it's just as nice on its own, or with a hot cup of jo. Freida's apple pie will put a smile on your face either way - just as the rascal it's named after never fails to with us.
